How Well Do You Do This?

August 5, 2012 By Robert Corrigan 9 Comments

That’s look after your subscribers, remember that people on your list subscribed for a reason, maybe they found or where directed to your blog where you were offering great information or there was something that they found interesting there.

Maybe the subscriber found one of your sales pages that allowed them to optin to get a mini course or a freebie.

What ever the reason they chose to subscribe to your e-mails, so what next, well you need to give them a reason to keep subscribed.

There are different ways of doing this; post informative content to your blog regularly, and you can send them offers for products or services that you feel may be of use or value to them, remember that people will expect you do that.

And you can offer them subscriber discounts on your own products and those of other marketers, most will be happy to do this in return for a sign up to one of their lists.

You can also offer high value content on a regular basis completely free.

There is a fine balance between all of these actions. By offering quality content on your blog you will get a high number of return visitors who may buy something from you particularly if you are reviewing a product on the blog post.

E-mailing offers out, again this is a balancing act only; promote those products or services that you feel would help your subscribers best, why did they subscribe? Look for something that would be complimentary and promote that, BUT only if it will be of value to them.

Never promote crap just because the commissions are better this will bite you on the backside. Also never pester the hell out of your subscribers they will either unsubscribe or just not open your e-mails. Just take today, in less than 24 hours I have had 59 e-mails from the same marketer promoting different products.

Yes 59, do you think that marketer has by best interests in mind or is he trying to make a fast buck? What we call a churn and burn merchant.

Do you offer high value freebies to your list on a regular basis? I try to do this once a month, this maybe a report for something am working on, and occasionally it is a report from another marketer from which I may make a few affiliate sales.

I also use PLR materials as the basis for some of my freebies, but as ever always use high quality PLR materials and make sure you edit them to suit your list.

Last week I sent out a freebie on LIST BUILDING to my list so if you would like a copy of it click the eBook cover or HERE and grab your cover.

I also recorded the whole process on video so if you want to see how I did it click the image and view the video which is on my YouTube channel.

The whole process is recorded in the video VIEW HERE. Hope you will find this of interest,

Rob

    Hey Rob…

This Information is pure gold-dust…NO really it is…you know people blurt on about how ALL P.L.R products are just re-hashed rubbish!

But as you have just demonstrated that’s just a blinkered on way of looking at it from pessimistic critics that have never even tried to create a vibrant refreshing product as you have just showed to the masses….you are so on the money by editing and carefully making this your own massively *valuable* product that anyone can really run with1

And further more it’s for free…that’s the secret sauce to actually creating a solid foundation for your online business for the long haul…absolutely loved this post Rob…I see you haven’t changed a bit when it comes to *GIVING* value to your readers…subscribers and customers…excellent Rob …Ed.

You see thats what the secret sauce is…I’ve started to see now that with my two products and on the mix…that over time you can start to leverage your backend and lists with a combination of ways to OFFER these products to make even more profits to finance even more products!

I’ve studied quite a lot of the TOP DOGS in I.M and if you notice just now and then they OFFER a *firesale*…John Thornhill does it so does Michael Cheney…massive value with all their PAST PRODUCTS with NO extra cost to the vendor as a offering these as a BONUS… creating MASSIVE sales for the NEW offering…AND to top it all and to add to your post on Listbuilding….

with a big list built over the years they can market the firesale to that list….you see guys this is what Robert is offering in this product HOW TO build a customer database to sell to time and time again…good call rob…Ed.

My post today Robert has something to do with this topic. Not the exact same but I have people on my list who get upset because I do promote things to them.

I often wonder why they are really here because if you’re visiting a blog that is teaching about blogging, internet, affiliate or network marketing then we are all here to make money. By providing value to your list and helping them by promoting products they will find helpful, that’s how you build a business.

Over promoting will definitely make them run for the hills and whoever that person was that bombarded your inbox with 59 emails in just 24 hours has a LOT to learn. Maybe you should point them to your video!

Great post Rob and something every one can learn from. As you said, there is so much churn and burn these days. Seems it’s all about getting the cash right now.

Funny, not long ago a popular marketer was saying that email leads have a 30 day shelf life. Thing is, the guy saying this sends promotions every day, even if your a buyer. What would the shelf life be if you treated them right and gave them “some” value?

But I guess they have so many leads coming in every day, that it doesn’t matter.

    Hi Robert,

Great post mate, really enjoyed. You certainly show that PLR can be excellent products if changed the right way. Loved the video. I have only 11 subscribers and should look after them better than I do. I will change that mindset.

As for you desktop, thought mine was bad…lol.

    Regards

    Donald
