August 21, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 36 Comments

A massive Freebie today! My good friend Barry Wells had this amazing idea last week for lot of online marketers to produce a Video related in someway to Internet Marketing.  What a great idea, I have already seen some of the content and I was amazed at some of the things that I have learned just by visiting other peoples Blogs.

So here is mine! It’s all about using JV events to build you subscriber list. In this Video we I will show you how to contribute gifts in return for a sign up to one of your lists for FREE.

Don’t forget to visit Barry’s Blog where there will be a full list of contributors and Videos You can find out more about current JV Giveaways Here

Hi Rob, I really liked the video, you should make more mate.

I’ve been working on a couple of products with this exact system in mind so I found this really helpful Rob. I’ve got 2 of the products finished and just need to sort the graphics out for them now.

With those offers you had listed Rob, (1 at $5 1 at $10), how does that work mate, when you’re freebie is downloaded they’re offered then?

You’ll have to excuse me but I want to make sure that when I add mine to the give aways I know exactly how it works, then I’ll know exactly what to do mate.

    Great video for the challenge,

    Thanks Rob,

    Barry

Hi Barry, all giveaways are similar but the organisers set the ground rules.

Essentially it works like this for contributors. You can usually offer one free gift to the giveaway for a free membership (contributors) you will need a squeeze page and a download page.

The One I showed, others are very similar If you upgrade your membership the this one was $7 you can add more gifts (5) so more potential signups. You can also add 3 OTO’s these are shown in
rotation on the page after login, They are linked to paypal so after the event ends the organisers pay out all contributors or setup an auto pay on purchase.

You also get 5 text adverts which you can link to your own products or affiliate offers.

Hope this helps. I will be putting up a page of current JV Giveaway events for anyone who wants to kick start there list building.

    Rob

A very professional and informative video about giveaways, Rob!

I’ve never really been a fan of the concept although I admit I’ve never tried one.

    Best of luck!

    Hi Rob,

    Great Video!

I have been joining giveaways since May this year. Plus I have been using PBG as well by Keith. It is such an awesome software.

I think I forgot all about list building until this year! A big oops on that one! 😳

At the moment I haven’t done any of the upgrade except 1. Mainly because I haven’t put the extra products together!

So much to do and so little time! 😯

I hope everything is going well.

See you back here soon! 😎

    Cheers

    JAcinta 😀

    Hi Robert

Great video and this is something that I am just about to start doing again as I know from experience that they do bring in subscribers.

The PBG software is the best way to manage your giveaways and it can sometimes be found as a one time offer, for a very low cost, in the sign up process of a giveaway.

Look forward to a video perhaps on the best ways to promote a giveaway event, hint hint.

I must say I really enjoyed this video as it’s a current subject that I am presently researching.

I am in the process of creating several products and I am keen to get involved in JV Giveaways in the near future.

Great video Rob; very easy to follow and full of information that I found very beneficial. It is definitely something I will be looking into … also heading off to look PBG! 🙂

    Thanks Rob…

    Hey Robert,

Great video and sorry I’m just now making it around to check yours out from Barry’s challenge. Great job and you definitely should do more like this. You explain things very well.

I learned how to do this earlier this year so I sure wish I would have had your video back then. I found it kind of confusing to sign up for them because they didn’t really walk you through the process like you’re doing. I know I keep saying great job, but it was. So easy to follow.

Hope to see more of this type of thing from you.

    Hi Robert,

HOLY COW!!! You’re video lead me to an epiphany for my own business and I suspect it will really help me build my list and make some money! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Basically I have been developing my own product (it’s an interview with a guy who build online wealth in the millions in 2 years) and I had really only considered getting affiliates to promote it!

For some reason I had never considered submitting it in Giveaways! And I don’t know why i didn’t think of that. I’d always thought that I should just try and get affiliates etc to spread the word but I will definitely be putting it on a Giveaway now too!

So Yeah it may seem obvious but until your video for some reason I just hadn’t considered it, so thank you!

Does anyone else know of any other ways like Giveaways to promote your products? I am wondering how many other things I haven’t thought of now!!

Also on a tech side at around 6m40s there seems to be a glitch when I watch it. It’s like a bit has been cut out.

I really like how you remind people to offer value. I totally agree that if you want to get customers and keep customers you really need to provide something of value and not another washed up hyped up drawn out piece of cr*p!

Thanks again and look forward to being inspired by your other videos/posts!

    Nick

Hi Mike, thanks for dropping by, you can create some quality products and use reports to generate subscribers and sell the high quality stuff on the back end. Use some PLR materials to get you started.

    Cheers
    Rob

  25. Robert Corrigan says

    August 27, 2011 at 4:10 pm

Hi Nick, thanks for the kind comments, you could compile a report on your product which will help to promote it, if you make it brandable you can give it away free to anyone who wants it and they can gain a commission on the sales as an affiliate for very little work.

As you suspect there is an edit (crude) just another distraction as soon as you start anything! Still nothing of any value was cut out just a bit of bad language on my part!! If you want to do a brandable report I will give it away on my blog to my subscribers.

    Cheers

    Rob

    Hey Rob,

I have been in many Giveaways over time. I am quite selective in which ones I go into.

I would suggest that the best way to use these giveaway events is to actually host them yourself. You can make a very big list quite quickly and will be a list of contributors so when hosting another event you already have a targeted list of subscribers

    Thanks for the detailed video!

    Craig

Ahhh I’m too late to win the contest… darn!

But this is some great info nonetheless! I’ve always been a big advocate of affiliate marketing, but I’d like to point out that starting a proper affiliate program often requires a decent investment from the start, not just for marketing the affiliate program itself but making sure the affiliate interface is going to be something the affiliates trust and can make use of.
