Review of 2016 and Plans for 2017.

Firstly, I know it’s a bit early, (these posts are supposed to go out on New Years Day, but there is something massive coming just after New Year and I didn’t want this post to be a distraction) but let me wish you all a very happy New Year and may it be both peaceful and profitable for you and yours.

The New Year is a time to look forward but it’s also a time for reflection on how far we have come and how much we have achieved in the past year. Sometimes we find that we have achieved far more than we think we have.

So here goes my review of 2016. Early January, I spoke to my good friend Steve King who I have known since we were both members of John Thornhill’s Masterclass of 2009. The Masterclass is where we learned to produce our own products. Steve had found a series of profitable eBay niches and had released a series of products under the umbrella name of Easy Auction Income (EAI).

As my first online business venture was eBay and I still trade there today, we spoke about EAI and Steve asked me to come on board with a view to expanding the business idea.

I had had a review copy of EAI 1 “Selling Prints on eBay,” and I had spotted that he had missed a big trick as there was another very lucrative niche you could exploit. With a small twist you could use the same content to produce and sell posters on eBay.

So I tried it out in secret and it just plain worked! So I wrote a bonus report for the product outlining the strategy and few little areas to expand into. Steve asked if I could maybe put together about 6 or 7 videos to show the process with a view to releasing it as EAI 3. So I put together 31 videos and we released it as “Profit from Posters” in May of 2016.

We also looked a putting together a continuity programme of a different eBay or related idea each month for 12 months. And so EAI Platinum was born, by the time you read this we will have month nine completed.

I also released two products of my own “Plugin Auction Profits” my complete eBay system for both newbie’s and the more experienced seller. Also my Platinum & Gold programs under the “Plugin Auction Profits” banner, where I take all the hard work out of it for you was also was also released as part of the package.

In November, I launched the latest update to my best selling programme, 12 Roads to Success. Originally written in 2010, it has been revised and updated.  I plan in 2017 to publish 12 Roads to Success as a print edition using Createspace so look for it (and the training course that goes with it in 2017.

So what of 2017, what’s the game plan? Well 2017 will see the launch of mine and Steve’s very own Internet Coaching Monthly Academy where we work with you to produce your own products. It’s our flagship program and in it we show you exactly how to build your own business online in exactly the same way that we have. Nothing is left out, no guess work just straight forward stuff that works in our business today.

But, does that mean I have given up on the smaller stuff? Far from it, the smaller stuff is vitally important. So in early 2017 I will be launching my next product which is a very easy to do eBay business where the products you sell cost absolutely nothing and you keep all the profit. I’m not giving too much away just yet as I want to make this cut and paste simple.

I will also be doing a “done for you service” where all I supply the product, I supply the graphics and I host the images in the listing. It really doesn’t get much simpler than this.

A little bit later will see the launch of EAI 4 (but it won’t be called this!). Again taking a very simple approach to yet another profitable eBay business.

Look, I will be straight with you these little niches businesses won’t make you a millionaire, and I would never make such a claim. But these are little niches that can add a few hundred dollars a month (maybe a few thousand) to your monthly income for very little effort. They are easy to run from the kitchen table and require just a few dollars to start up.

Nothing to do with marketing but I will also be producing an illustrated print guide to the Wirral Way a 12 mile footpath close to my home. The only existing guide was published in the 1970’s so is way out of date. I don’t expect to make a penny from this! It is a pure vanity project but you never know if enough people are interested then I will reveal all. This will take most of the year as I want to capture the flavour of the walk in all seasons so this may go over into 2018.

So a busy year in store, it may seem as though I am never away from my computers, but here’s a confession. I only work about 10 hours a week, yes really, and all from my home office. The reason is I took massive action years ago to build my own business and in 2017 I am going to provide you with all the tools that will help you succeed online just as I have.

Anyway before this get too wordy I would just like to say thank you for your support in the past year and I hope that the coming year gives you everything you wish for.

Rob

p.s. I will be blogging a lot more in 2017!

    Hi Robert,

I’m very impressed. For 20 hours a week, it just what can be done. I will be keeping a closer eye to what you and Steve will be getting up to. I keep saying every year I need to get on with it, still a long term newbie….lol. I intend to move on in the new year. I could do with a few hundred extra a month.

Have a Happy and Merry Hogmanay.

    Kind Regards

    Donald

    Hi Rob
You’ve been very busy but also very generous in 2016 and I hope to be able to do as well in my business. Interesting that I also live on the Wirral. I’ll keep an eye out for the roarer on the ‘Way’. Happy New Year

Good for you, Rob! Glad everything is going well, and you’re right about the small stuff, it can bring in the regular income, little and often. A friend of mine always said she’d rather be stacking dollar bills in the corner than waiting forever for that one big sale. I love that you are also still doing the things you are passionate about, the walk guide sounds like a project of love.

    Enjoy the journey!

    Hi Rob,

My plan for 2017 seems really easy now after reading what you’re going to do!
The printed guide sounds a great project. I’ve always been interested in publishing and have been writing short stories for my daughter. It’s really tough trying to get anything published. I’ve submitted to dozens of agents/publishers already. Like you I’m looking at doing one myself just because I can! Mine will be a picture book. Have fun doing yours, Keith
