Why Does Every Way of Making Money Cost Us Money?

July 1, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 17 Comments

Heard the expression speculate to accumulate? Simply put you have to invest capital in order to get a return, but what happens when capital is severally limited. Not everyone can or would want to afford one of the high ticket priced coaching courses.

It is not only possible to start off small with a limited amount of cash i.e. A few dollars and still see a creditable profit on the investment. It’s about finding these little opportunities that make money and simply doing a rinse and repeat operation.

Refining the system so that it works on a continual basis for you. But where do you find these opportunities when everyone wants to charge you an arm and a leg for the ‘next secret system’.

There really are lots of different ways of making money online, but the problem is that most people keep chasing the next shiny pebble, the next profit breakthrough or the next big opportunity that is hyped to the hilt by the Gurus. The reason that this works for the Guru’s is that everyone is looking for the big payday the several thousand dollar day immediately. The promise of push button profits is very tempting so people continually invest their hard earned cash in these systems.

The truth of the matter is there are lots of little opportunities that still exist but that most people have forgotten about in these days of the Internet.

In this complete business plan I will show you the system that I use to earn myself another income by placing inexpensive (or even free) small ads in newspapers and magazines.

The great part of this idea is that works in every niche:

  • You do not have to hold any stock,
  • You do not ship any stock.
  • You never deal with customers.
  • All you have to do is bank the regular payment cheques.
  • It takes only a few minutes a day to run this.
  • Work in Multiple Niches selling multiple products.

Here is the complete step by step business plan exactly as I run it. No fluff, no filler and no padding. Just first class instruction and advice. This system could have you making money in days. Oh and the price, I could charge a lot more for this but to my valued subscribers it’s a measly $7. Plus you can buy the Resell and Master Resell Rights to this product for only $20 and $47 respectively a product to sell yourself immediately.

When I told one of my friends that I made money from Small Ads he laughed and told me it was so dated no one makes money from Small Ads these days what you need is a website and sell from there. Great if you can get anyone to find it or want to continually drive traffic to it, too much like hard work for me I think!

In the old days I would have take this nugget of advice as sage wisdom. But not anymore you see this was the same friend that told me that I could never make any money from eBay.

So check out Make a Killer Income from Small Ads and add kick start your business today. Rob………….

Avoiding Distractions!!

June 19, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 17 Comments

How easy is it for you to work at home? Well for me it’s really quite easy at least most of the time. I can usually avoid most of the obvious distractions. What I am very poor at though is planning at home. This is where distractions really take their toll and hinder progress.

So what’s the answer? Well it depends on how you work, mine way is simple I head for one of the many offices scatted around the neighbourhood, I think some people can these public houses? I have several local ones that I can visit; it just depends on what I am doing or what the weather is like.

Last Saturday I went to one of my favourite outdoor offices near Silverdale in the southern part of the English Lake District, one of my favourite places on earth. You can get an idea of the solitude by looking at the pictures.

On a Bad Day You Can See Blackpool!!

The Lovely Town of Silverdale

The Pepperpot a Victorian Monument Nothin to Do with Monty Python

My desk and Office: No Computer!!

Here pen in hand I sat and wrote like some poor mans Wordsworth. I planned a huge chunk of my e-course 12 Roads to Success here last year. I was able to plan so much, that the writing came to me very easily. So in this very spot last Saturday I planned some additional content for Internet Coaching Monthly. In just over two hours I wrote over 12 pages of notes. What really helped was that it was a beautiful day and I hardly saw a soul all day.

So can I recommend a change of scenery when you need to get something done?  Rob…

How Much Value Can You Add?

June 8, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 11 Comments

Or when is enough, enough? Or where have you been?

I don’t really know the answer to this apart from where have I been, you see the reason I am asking this is that Steve King and I have spent months producing content for our new membership site Internet Coaching Monthly (ICM) and we are determined to get this exactly right.

ICM is a new membership site which we are launching real soon but as I said we want to get it right first time out of the stalls but we are a bit unsure as to what amount of content represents outstanding value on a monthly basis.

We already have several months content already complied and several months more at various stages of completion. I month one you get immediate access to the complete build your presence online domain names , a complete video course on finding and reselling products to sell on Amazons Kindle platform and on eBay. This takes you step by step through finding your own inventory of products to sell on these platforms.

So what we did is create some more content, videos, audios and some subscriber appreciation bonuses.

So the question I am asking is this worth $17 a month for all this content or do we need to add more.

Let me know what you think?  Rob

I’m So Busy So I Moved My Office Today!

April 18, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 16 Comments

Insane, no not really… The great thing about Information Marketing is that you can do it from almost anywhere; you don’t even need a broadband connection. You see here in the UK it has been warm and the sun has been shining. So why waste the sunshine.

Instead of working at home I have relocated to my local public house pad and pen in one hand and pint of Guinness in the other. That’s where this blog post was written in the sunshine from during a break from working on Internet Coaching Monthly my new venture with Steve King.

Internet Coaching Monthly (ICM) is a membership site its aim is to provide excellent content at an amazingly low price. Steve has been very busy building the site using WordPress whilst I have been creating some of the content for it. If you look at the website you will be seriously under whelmed as nearly of the content is yet to be published.

I am creating 2 modules at the moment one on product creation and marketing and another on eBay trading of course. The product creation will be approx 20 videos some PowerPoint’s and PDF’s. I am hoping to shoot the videos in the next week or so this will take the number of videos on the site to over 100, yes we have been very busy!

I am also working on a little project with my lovely partner building a Kindle empire for her fiction (which is outselling my own stuff at the moment). 2011 is already my most productive year so far I have already completed and have on sale 3 products since January.

Madness or Magic

Your eBay Information Business

eBay Revealed: A Powerseller Interviewed

Steve and I are hoping to launch at the end of May we want this to be really special. Oh my glass appears to be empty, time for another Guinness… This office move really suits me!  Rob

Can You Really Make Money Selling e-Books On eBay Part 3

March 15, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 4 Comments

You only get one opportunity to create a first impression! It’s as true in life as it is in business. So how do so many people get this wrong? If you are selling low cost items on eBay such as a $1-2 eBook then the figures are very important. You could be left with only a few dollars or cents for the work that you have done.

When I wrote my e-course Plugin Auction Profits, I decided to check out my opposition and bought a few eBay products from clickbank and from eBay itself. The eBay ones were low cost products the most expensive being $5.

The $1 products where not worth the $1 which is what I suspected, but I was most surprised that the most expensive at $5 was also the shabbiest. It was sent in a plain blue mailing sack with my name and address scribbled on with marker.

Great first impression!!!

Would you ever buy from that seller again even if what you bough was of a good standard? Probably not, no scrub that definitely not! You see these sellers missed the most important part of this they were after the sale, just the sale instead of offering great value and building a relationship with your customers who would then go on to make further purchases.

Just think if you bought a $5 product and that product was shipped in a CD or DVD case with a cover label the CD was authored as an interactive CD and if your purchase was far more in valuable than the $5 that you had paid. Would you come back for more? Too right!

By spending just a few dollars initially you can build that wow factor into your products. If you are proficient at photo shop or similar graphic packages you can design your own labels, DVD/CD covers and eBook covers.

If you are not proficient at photoshop simply outsource this work to a freelancer on eLance or a similar site. Or use Fiverr for your outsourcing requirements. You will find a whole host of vendors that will produce these for you at only $5 a job. The small investment is easily justified by the fact that you can use these items forever in you listings and in packaging your products.

Give the designer a very precise specification for them to work too and make sure that you can have revisions made to the work. Next putting it all together. Rob…

Can You Really Make Money Selling e-Books On eBay Part 2

March 8, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 3 Comments

In Part 1, I revealed how to start selling digital products on eBay in this part I will show you a strategy that involves making money after the initial sale. In everything that you sell you must deliver amazing value for money even if you are selling a 99c product. That way buyers will recognise value and will return to buy you higher cost products.

Every sale you make should be about building a list of customers not a one off sale.

eBay operate a digital delivery ban so any product you sell must be shipped on a physical medium. There are two basic ways to deliver your eBay products to your customers.

The easy way burn the e-Book to CD and dispatch in a plastic mailing sack, advantage very cheap and easy. Looks completely unprofessional and I for one would feel cheated if I had paid anymore than 99c for it. The lack of professionalism would stop me from dealing with the seller in the future and they would be dependant on selling to other buyers to sustain the business.

There is an alternative but it is more costly, but in the long term will bring in repeat business. Starting with the disk itself, make the disk auto rum when it is inserted into the CD/DVD drive you can download software that will allow you build an interactive CD for free from one of the many free download sites.

An interactive CD will look very professional no one will ever know that you are working on the dining table on your laptop. If you cannot find a free one that you like then use a service such as elance to find someone who will author a template to your own specification therefore establishing your own distinctive brand. You can also add as many pages as you wish simply by copy and pasting.

You can author the pages in a very simple free HTML editor such as NVU or Pagebreeze or if you already have some HTML software just use that. A typical CD layout may follow the pattern below.

The first page is a thank you page; it thanks the purchaser and gives contact details for yourself.

It then invites you to click the hyper link “My Purchase” this gives the buyer access to the purchase via the link. Also include a link to download a PDF reader or a zip utility to extract any files in zip format. Recent versions of windows already come with the facility to extract zip files.

Include a page for bonus items again via a link, and add a relevant bonus item of high value. You can also add an upsell on the same page for a related product. Find a complementary product on clickbank, paydotcom or similar site and promote it via an affiliate link. This will take the buyer to the sales page for that product and if they buy it you will receive an affiliate commission.

You can add another level to this, giveaway a newletter/free product for signing up to your e-mail list. Do this by another link call it more free stuff or anything that grabs the attention include on this page an optin box to capture there e-mail address. Remember what I said about amazing value.

Add contact details on another page or add another type of offer, the options are endless and may depend on the product you are selling.

You are almost good to go so let’s really make this look professional and grab those repeat sales.

In Part 3 I will give you my strategy for blowing there socks off and getting noticed. Rob…

Can You Really Make Money Selling e-Books On eBay Part 1

March 6, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 2 Comments

When you think of low cost e-books then eBay is probably the first place that you think of looking a simple eBay search will return thousands of results and it’s amazing the range of e-books that are available. You can buy products on making money, gambling systems, relieving back pain, how to play the bag pipes etc. But how can we make money selling them ourselves?

e-books have rather a bad name in some quarters with some justification as the general quality of most of these offerings is low; in essence what sort of product can you get for 99c? Usually 99c worth, there are of course exceptions to the rule if you stay away from the bottom end. There are so many more products that you can sell such as audio products, video products, software etc. Digital product may be a better description of these items? There really are some gems to be had if you look in the right places.

So where can we obtain products that we can sell on eBay? The quickest and easiest way is to find resale rights products. A Google search will return thousands of hits for reseller licence to products, some companies even specialise in selling these products. You will need to check out each products licence but most will allow you to resell on eBay and even put your own name on the product.

Look for top selling products on eBay and use these companies to source similar products to the popular sellers on eBay. You can also obtain a huge amount of materials from free giveaway events again there are dozens of these and signing up to them will allow you access to a range of materials that you can resell, but again you will need to check the licence agreements carefully.

So you have a range of products to try, so how can you really make money selling e-books on eBay?

Yes you can, there are several strategies that you can use but is it really a profitable business? Well on the front end yes you can make a living but you will need to sell a high volume of low cost e-Books or fewer higher value items. The big mistake is that people just try and sell the item they list where it should be about building a customer list.

This is one of the biggest mistakes sellers on eBay make is trying to make all the money on the front end when what they should be doing is making sales on the back end of the sale.

In Part2 I will give you my strategy for making money on a low cost sale.

See You Next Time Rob…

What Is Stopping You From Succeeding Online?

February 6, 2011 By Robert Corrigan 18 Comments

Have you ever thought that it is too difficult to make money online? There seems to be so much to learn, have you been burnt by marketers selling you the next best system for making money online which simply did not make any money (except for them). Was the system too complicated? What was the product support like? Did it deliver what it said it would? If you answered yes too even one of these questions then that would be enough to put anyone off for life.

The shocking statistic is that 97% of people who try to make money online fail. Most of the time it really is not there own fault the learning curve seems so steep at times, so much to learn and apply. You see the difference between those that succeed and those that fail is that the ones that succeed have a definite plan. There lies is problem in a nutshell. How can you possibly have a plan when you are starting out? It seems like a Catch 22 situation.

Maybe it’s all the techie stuff that puts you off? There seems so much to learn, and finding the place to start is a nightmare, this is what the Guru’s thrive on, because they will then tell you that you need the next product and the next piece of software and what do all these things mean anyway!
